Information / rules
The rules for both this server and in the general community are explained here.
Rules:
1. Act mature and respectful. You should never insult or harass anyone, whether it is through derogatory terms, hate speech, spam, and similar. This also applies to starting hateful conversations about community members or other members of this server. Moderators are representatives of RobTop, and should act as such. For this reason, it is expected that you are respectful towards him as well, refraining from publicly speaking negative about the game. Avoid starting unnecessary community drama.
2. Keep your account secure. Make sure that your Geometry Dash account password is strong, using as many alphanumeric characters as possible (up to 20), as well as hyphens and/or underscores (the only allowed symbols). Additionally, do not share your account with anyone else as a Moderator. These abilities are given to your account and meant only for you. The same applies to your Discord account in this server, as well as other social media accounts linked to your Geometry Dash username. Any sort of abuse will ultimately reflect on you and potentially the team too.
3. Be family-friendly. Because this is a game with many children, you should never share anything inappropriate where it is easily accessible. Doing it in spaces labelled as NSFW or without any ties to your Geometry Dash account is fine. You should also refrain from posting anything NSFW in this server.
4. Do not leak. This server may contain information shared by RobTop or fellow Moderators that is only meant for us. The same can be said for Moderator abilities, including ones from the Account Manager, where details may not be known by the community. These things should never be shared with non-Moderators unless you have explicit permission.
5. Be active. We want our members and overall team to remain active over time. Activity is measured by usage of in-game abilities relevant to your role, as well as activity in this server or the overall community. If you are notably inactive in all of these areas for an extended period of time, typically 3 months, we will send you a warning in a direct message. If your activity does not improve soon thereafter, you will be demoted. Note that you can always take a break for some period of time if you let a Maintenance member know as soon as possible.
6. Use Moderator abilities properly. This is mostly about level sending abilities, which should only be used for levels that you truly believe are worthy of rating, and with the correct rating type and difficulty. You should never accept payment for sends or joke about this. Repeatedly trolling with sends can lead to demotion. The same can be said for Demon difficulty sending, as well as extra abilities you may have if you are an Elder Moderator or similar. Use them all to the best of your ability at all times.
7. Do not break in-game rules. This includes following the game's Terms of Service and the Leaderboard and Upload Guidelines. For example, you should not cheat to gain a statistical advantage.
